APPLICATION
Approach Angle 95º

Boring

SVUCR boring bars use the two 35º corners of the positive rake VCMT insert mounted at 95º to the axis of the lathe. Their shape allows straight boring to a shoulder and internal profiling. These boring bars can generally work with overhangs of up to 5 times the boring bar diameter without the tool starting to vibrate.

Use with VCMT inserts as our item no. J13 and J14 for medium cutting of steel and stainless or J15 (VCGT) for cutting aluminium and finish cutting of steel. The VCMT insert has a relief angle of 7? compared to 5? of the VBMT insert. This tool therefore have a bit more clearance then the SVUBR version.
