SDQCR boring bars use the two 55 º corners of DCMT positive rake inserts mounted at 107.5º to the axis of the lathe. Their shape allows straight boring to a shoulder, as well as internal profiling. These boring bars can generally work with overhangs of up to 5 times the boring bar diameter without the tool starting to vibrate.
