APPLICATION
Approach Angle 95º

Boring

SVUBR boring bars use the two 35º corners of the positive rake VBMT inserts mounted at 95º to the axis of the lathe. Their shape allows straight boring to a shoulder and internal profiling. These boring bars can generally work with overhangs of up to 5 times the boring bar diameter without the tool starting to vibrate.

Use with VBMT inserts as our item no. J16 and J17 for medium cutting or J18 (VBGT) for cutting aluminium and finish cutting of steel
