  • SCLCR/L boring bars use the two 80º corners of CCMT inserts mounted at 95º to the axis of the lathe. Their shape allows straight boring to a shoulder, as well as internal facing cuts. This is the most versatile type of boring bar, and uses the same inserts as the external SCLCR/L tool holders. These boring bars can generally work with overhangs of up to 5 times the boring bar diameter without the tool starting to vibrate.
